PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kent County Undersheriff Bryan Muir says the home explosion in Plainfield Township Tuesday morning was intentional and was a murder-suicide attempt.
A man died in the blast and his wife was pulled from the burning home by neighbors and she is hospitalized with serious injuries.
Muir says they believe the husband was trying to kill them both.
No names have been released.
Muir says if the neighbors hadn’t rescued her, she likely would have also died.
