EAST LANSING, MI — Plans appear to be moving forward for Michigan State University to renovate Spartan Stadium. The anticipated cost is $500 million.
Detailed plans for the renovations (see artist rendering) to Spartan Stadium include a new east towers with luxury suites, significant upgrades to the stadium’s concourse, concessions, bathrooms and accessibility. The construction is slated to begin in November 2027 and finish by summer of 2029.
Spartan football is under new leadership this fall with Pat Fitzgerald taking the helm of the program. The Spartans open this season at home on Saturday Sept. 5 against Toledo.
