LANSING, MI — It’s the biggest road construction project in mid-Michigan and now more changes are coming to work being done on US-127 in Lansing.
MDOT says starting Friday morning, the eastbound and westbound Lake Lansing Road entrance ramps to southbound US-127 will be closed. Traffic will be detoured via Lake Lansing Road, southbound Coolidge Road, westbound M-43 and southbound Howard Avenue to southbound US-127. At that time all traffic on US-127 will be shifted to the NB lanes of the freeway.
The rebuilding of US-127 in Lansing will not be completed until fall of 2028. The next two years will feature work on the NB and SB lanes of US-127 between I-496 and Lake Lansing Road through the Frandor area.
