EAST LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) β Michigan State University president Kevin Guskiewicz is leaving East Lansing.
He had nearly three years left on his contract with MSU, and the board of trustees doubled his salary to two-million-dollars a year in an emergency meeting on Sunday, May 17th.
Guskiewicz is leaving Michigan State to become the president of Clemson University and will be paid just over $1.2-million a year for five years with up to $250,000 a year in performance bonuses.
He says he will stay at MSU for the next several weeks βto support a smooth and successful transition,β but no end time has been announced.
