LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Democratic state lawmakers from all over Michigan are calling on Vice President JD Vance and the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution to remove President Donald Trump.
State Representative Carrie Rheingans of Ann Arbor and Rhode Island state Senator Tiara Mack organized the letter and 28 other Michigan Democrats have signed it.
The letter has the signatures of at least 218 state lawmakers from 27 different states.
Trump posted on Social Media Tuesday morning that Iran had until 8 p.m. Eastern to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or a “whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.”
He canceled the deadline Tuesday night.
