GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) — A plea deal is set to be formalized next week for one of six men facing federal charges in the alleged plot to kidnap and possibly kill Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
Ty Garbin, 25, of Hartland Township, is set to appear before U.S. Western District Judge Robert Jonker to change his plea to not guilty.
That’s according to a federal court noticed filed earlier this week, as reported by WZZM TV.
If the court accepts Garbin’s guilty plea, his would be the first conviction of among the plotters. In addition to the six facing federal charges, seven more men face state charges related to this case.
