CHARLOTTE, MI — Hundreds of manufacturing employees will be hired in Charlotte by the Shyft Group, an automaker specializing in specialty vehicles and commercial fleets.
Shyft Group, formerly Spartan Motors, says demand is way up for delivery vehicles thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Shyft Group builds Utilimaster, Royal Truck Body, DuraMag, Strobes-R-Us, Spartan RV Chassis, and Builtmore Contract Manufacturing brands.
Company president Chad Heminover tells the Lansing State Journal pay will range from 15-dollars-50 cents to 21-dollars-70 cents.
