DeWitt, MI — The DeWitt High School Marching Band might soon have a connection to heavy metal band Metallica. The Panthers are one of five medium sized high schools in the country making the finals list in the band’s For Whom the Band Tolls competition.
Metallica challenged marching bands to craft an exciting and unique performance of Metallica’s music. The DeWitt Marching Band uses the song Enter Sandman as part of its halftime performance routine.
The DeWitt band is in the running to win $15,000 in musical equipment for the school’s band program. Here’s the finals list for the “Medium High School” category:
