LANSING, MI — U.S. Representative Elissa Slotkin is getting a divorce. The Democratic lawmaker from Lansing and her husband, Dave Moore, released a joint statement on Sunday, which read in part: “After careful consideration, we are saddened to announce that we are divorcing after twelve years of marriage.”
Slotkin, a former U.S. intelligence officer and Moore, a former Apache helicopter pilot, met in 2009 while bother served in Iraq. They married in 2011. The current Congressional rep is often rumored to be a likely candidate to run for the U.S. Senate in 2024 when current U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow retires.
