LANSING, MI — Friday night’s Silver Bells in the City in downtown Lansing kicked off the holiday season, but the celebration was marred by dozens of fights involving multiple minors near the end of the event, according to media partner Six News WLNS.
Michigan State Police and Lansing Police Department officers tried to restore order to the area just east of the state Capitol building after the lighting of the state holiday tree and near the conclusion of a drone light show, according to reports.
WLNS says three people were then apprehended by officers for disorderly conduct, eventually being released to their parents.
