LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) -MDOT has announced that all Michigan Welcome Centers will be open over the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
Officials at MDOT say that the centers are important for both out of state and in state travelers who may want information during their journeys.
The information lobbies at all centers have been closed since March of last year due to the pandemic.
AAA is expecting over one million Michigan residents to travel during the holiday weekend, an increase of over 56% from last year’s numbers.
