LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – State Republicans and Governor Whitmer have apparently come to an agreement regarding emergency orders issued during a pandemic, and to also come together regarding the state budget.
GOP members of the House and Senate have been critical of the Governor regarding their perception of being left out of decisions made regarding the pandemic.
As a part of the agreement, the Governor will abandon her backing of permanent rules for workplace alleviation of COVID proposed by MiOSHA.
Negotiators from the Governor’s office will also be allowed in state budget discussions.
