LANSING, MI — Lansing Community College is sharing more details about the suspicious activity in their computer network environment last week.
The school says they notified state and federal law enforcement and disconnected their servers and internet from the outside world as a precaution to protect its systems and prevent damage.
With the assistance of third-party specialists, the school launched an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the activity. That investigation remains ongoing, but LCC has restored most operations and is now planning to bring the college back online.
All other classes, events and activities – both on-campus and online – will continue beginning Tuesday, March 21.
