EAST LANSING, MI — Wharton Center at Michigan State University has a new leader. Eric Olmscheid will be the executive director beginning in June.
Olmscheid is the former Director of Programming and Education at Des Moines Performing Arts. Olmscheid replaces current director, Michael Brand, who is retiring after serving in the role for 18 years, according to a report in the Lansing State Journal.
The Wharton Center, which will be celebrating its 40th anniversary year, will welcome Wicked and The Blue Man Group as part of its 2022-23 season schedule. Olmscheid will assume his new role at Wharton Center on June 22.
