DETROIT, MI — After nearly seven days of being shut down due to protests in Canada, the Ambassador Bridge between Detroit and Windsor has reopened.
Auto industry experts believe the part shortages caused by the protests that shut down auto production plants like GM’s Delta Township facility last week should ease over the next few days.
The Canada Border Services Agency says non-essential travel is not advised yet. The Detroit International Bridge Company says they are pleased that the bridge has reopened after a state of emergency was declared in Ontario and a judge in the province issued an injunction that took effect Friday.
