A newly released survey by USA Today lists the region among the country’s ten best for fall foliage and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula placed very high in the results.
Only the White Mountains of New Hampshire placed higher on the Top 10 list than the UP, according to poll results. Peak color in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is expected to be the first week of October.
The list was determined by a group of editors and then a popular vote among USA Today readers.
