ALLEN PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Running back Kerryon Johnson may have played his last game with the Detroit Lions. According to the Detroit News, Johnson has been told by the team that he will be waived.
Johnson was drafted by Detroit in 2018 and last season saw most of his action during third-down plays.
Veteran tight end Darren Fells returns to Detroit after signing with the Lions yesterday. Fells entered the NFL with Seattle in 2013 and has also played for Arizona, Cleveland and Houston. He spent the 2017 season with Detroit.
Fells replaces tight end Josh Hill who signed with the Lions in March, but told the team that he plans to retire earlier this week.
