LANSING, MI — Fall sports athletes have to wear masks during competition and on the bench during fall matches and practice.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer clarified that for all athletes yesterday, including football players. She says unless someone can maintain six-feet of social distance at all times, the mask needs to be worn.
That means football, soccer, and volleyball will need masks but not cross country, golf, and tennis. Football games are expected to kick off Friday night Sept. 18th.
