EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan High School Athletic Association has pushed back its decision on the fall seasons for boys soccer, volleyball, and girls swimming and diving until Thursday
The MHSAA Representative Council met for a little over two hours Wednesday and opted to meet again Thursday at 12 noon in hopes of reaching a final decision on how each of the three sports will move forward.
With gymnasiums and indoor swimming pools closed due to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Executive Order, volleyball and swim cannot meet indoors.
Soccer is considered a contact sport, but is listed in the medium-risk category. High school football is considered a high-risk sports, and the last week MHSAA opted to postpone the football season until the spring 2021.
