<p>
Stumbled (and I mean that literally) upon this place after
sampling some wines at Paw Paw’s Wine and Harvest Festival and boy I’m glad I
found it. You can tell the workers at 120 Taphouse & Bistro care about good
food, a great atmosphere in a building full of history, and a good time with a
massive drink menu.

<p>
First off, their food is made from scratch using local
ingredients. That means their menu changes based on what is “in season” at the
time. What they’re really known for is their stuffed burgers and their
“Doobies,” yes, you read that right, Doobies. It’s pretty much their take on a
large egg roll stuffed with different ingredients. Like for example I got the “3
Cheese Doobie” which is like a fried crispy roll of cheese. Okay, that
description doesn’t do it justice, but it was amazing believe me.

Before we indulged in “Doobies” we also had their spinach
and artichoke dip which I can honestly say was the best spinach and artichoke
dip I’ve ever had. (And that’s saying a lot because I’m picky when it comes to
my favorite dip of all time) Overall they have salads, tacos, sandwiches and
wraps, stuffed Angus burgers, pasta, fish, chicken, etc. You can tell their
homemade ingredients really shine through in their menu items.

To my vegetarians: the menu has these cute little green
“V’s” by everything that can be made vegetarian which makes it so convenient.

<p>
Oh, and whether you have a child out not, check out their
kid’s menu because it’s hilarious. The names of the items are like the “I don’t
care,” (which is a hamburger) or the “I don’t know” (chicken nuggets) and the “I’m
not hungry” (a grilled cheese). It’s the definition of trolling at a
restaurant.

<p>
Wine, martinis, cocktails, “beer-tails,” craft beer, and
cider…their drink list goes on for days. I tried the McKenzie’s Black Cherry
Hard Cider and it was probably one of my favorite ciders. (Which is also saying
a lot because ciders are my go to drink.) Definitely want to come back to try
one of their “beer-tails” though.

Look into the history of this place too. 120 Taphouse &
Bistro is in a 100+ year old building and went from a restaurant called “Hotel
De Hamburger,” to “The Harbor,” to “Bistro 120,” to what it is today.

Be sure to check out their Facebook page for what’s on tap
or what’s new on the menu. Overall I’m glad we found this place and I’m excited
to be back in Paw Paw to enjoy some good quality food and drinks again.
