Description:
</p>
<p>
My friend first stumbled upon this place (which is pushed
back in a shopping strip near “Tiffany’s Village” on West Main) and told me I
had to try it out. It has a small, classic diner feel, with a friendly staff
and great service, making a wait for a table definitely worth it.
</p>
<p>
Nina’s Cafe says they’re home of “the best breakfast in town”
and so far I wouldn’t argue that. I had the tomato basil omelet and added
mushrooms to it with a side of hash browns. It was wonderful. Just remember that
their omelets are made with six eggs…SIX. If you’re not starving by all means
get it using only 3 eggs like I did (it’s also cheaper for those balling on a
budget).
</p>
<p>
Oh and don’t forget about the cinnamon roll I had to start that
was the size of my head. It’s only $2.95 and comes with frosting and a cinnamon
spread that was just incredible. Definitely recommend splitting it with someone
unless that’s all you’re getting.
</p>
<p>
Definitely check the hours before heading out the door. Nina’s
Cafe is open Tuesday-Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday from 8 a.m.
to 2:30 p.m., and they are closed on Mondays. Also don’t expect some high class
meal or fancy setting. This is your typical family-owned restaurant with
friendly company, homemade breads, a good cup of coffee, and a huge spot for “regulars,”
or guests that come in so often the servers call them by their first names.
</p>
<p>
Overall I’ll definitely be back for that giant cinnamon roll
and I can see this being my go-to breakfast spot when friends come into town. I can’t say much about their
lunch menu, but I’ll get there one day to see if it’s just as good as their
breakfast.
